Children with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) do not outgrow the disorder, but with appropriate speech therapy, many children do attain intelligible speech. However, some children's speech may still sound different or they may exhibit language errors in their speech that don't respond to traditional therapy. Diagnosing CAS Under Age 3
